Job Description:

Steadfast Security, Inc. is seeking experienced, dependable, and confident Unarmed Security Officers for active retail and commercial properties throughout the San Fernando Valley.

We are particularly interested in candidates residing in or near Panorama City, Van Nuys, Pacoima, Mission Hills, North Hollywood, Northridge, and Reseda.

These are active security assignments, not stationary posts.

Our properties require officers who are comfortable maintaining a strong security presence, conducting continuous patrols, addressing unauthorized activity, and professionally handling challenging situations.

We are looking for officers who are proactive, observant, and confident in their ability to communicate with individuals, enforce property rules within their authority, and de-escalate conflicts.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct continuous foot patrols throughout assigned properties.
Maintain a visible and professional security presence.
Address trespassing, loitering, and unauthorized activity appropriately.
Professionally request that unauthorized individuals leave private property when authorized by site procedures.
Handle challenging interactions through verbal communication and de-escalation.
Respond promptly to incidents and notify Dispatch, supervisors, or law enforcement when necessary.
Complete hourly electronic activity reports and detailed incident reports.
Follow company post orders, safety procedures, and reporting requirements.
Maintain reliable attendance and arrive on time for scheduled shifts.

Minimum Qualifications:

Valid, active California BSIS Guard Card – REQUIRED.
Prior security experience preferred, particularly in retail, shopping centers, or active patrol environments.
Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills.
Comfortable working in busy environments with frequent public interaction.
Ability to remain professional and composed during challenging situations.
Reliable transportation to assigned Valley properties.
Ability to perform the essential duties of the position, with reasonable accommodation where applicable.
Ability to work independently and follow company policies.
