Post Commander / Area Supervisor – San Fernando Valley\

Primary Responsibilities

• Supervise security officers assigned to multiple client locations.
• Conduct regular site inspections and document all findings.
• Ensure officers are on time, properly uniformed, alert, and performing all required duties.
• Review patrol activity, incident reports, daily activity reports, and other required documentation.
• Respond promptly to call-offs, emergencies, staffing concerns, and client requests.
• Assist Operations with shift coverage and staffing coordination when needed.
• Train and coach officers regarding post orders, patrol procedures, reporting, customer service, and company policies.
• Address performance concerns professionally and immediately report serious matters through the proper chain of command.
• Communicate regularly with Operations, Human Resources, clients, and assigned officers.
• Ensure that company vehicles, equipment, site phones, keys, and other property are properly maintained and accounted for.
• Assist with emergency response and coordinate with law enforcement or emergency personnel when necessary.
• Prepare accurate written reports regarding incidents, inspections, employee performance, and corrective actions.
• Help maintain consistent service standards across all assigned properties.

Required Qualifications

• Valid California Guard Card.
• Valid California driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Reliable transportation.
• Prior security experience required.
• Prior experience as a Post Commander, Field Supervisor, Security Supervisor, or Area Supervisor strongly preferred.
• Experience supervising multiple employees or locations preferred.
• Open availability, including nights, weekends, holidays, and emergency coverage when required.
• Ability to respond to different locations throughout the San Fernando Valley.
• Strong leadership, communication, conflict-resolution, and customer-service skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional during emergencies and employee-related situations.
• Ability to follow and enforce company policies without making unauthorized promises or employment decisions.
• Ability to operate a smartphone and use mobile scheduling, reporting, and communication applications.
• Ability to prepare clear and accurate reports in English.
• Ability to stand, walk, drive, and conduct patrols for extended periods.
• Professional appearance, sound judgment, integrity, and dependability are required.
